Our Website can usually be used without providing personal data. If personal data (such as name, address or e-mail addresses) are collected on our pages, this will always be done on a voluntary basis, if possible. These data will not be passed on to any third parties without your explicit approval.

Please be advised that the data transmission in the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) may have security gaps. The absolute protection of the data against being accessed by third parties is not possible.

Scope of validity

This data protection declaration advises users about the way how personal data are collected and used as well as the scope and purpose of such data collection and usage by the provider who is responsible for this Website, i.e. ARNO Design GmbH, Bavariastr. 6b, 80336 Munich, phone: +49 (0)89.380 194 0, , (referred to hereinafter as “offer”).

The legal provisions for the data protection can be found in the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and in the [German] Telemedia Act (TMG).

Access data/Server log files

The offeror (or its Webspace provider) will collect data about each and any attempt of accessing the offer (so called server log files). The access data include:

Name of the Website called, file, date and time of the day when being called, the data volume transmitted, a report about the successful call, the browser type and version, the user’s operating system, the referrer URL (i.e. the page visited before), the IP address and the provider making the inquiry.

The offeror will use the log data only for statistical evaluations for the operational and security purposes as well as for optimizing the offer. However, the offeror reserves the right to verify log data subsequently, if, on the basis of tangible evidence, reasonable suspicion of an illegal usage exists.

Handling personal data

Personal data are information, with the help of which a person can be identified, i.e. details that can be traced back to a certain person. This includes the name, the e-mail address or the telephone number. But also data about preferences, hobbies, memberships or Websites visited by that person belong to the personal data.

Personal data will only be collected, used and passed on, if this is permitted by law or the user has given his/her consent that his/her data can be collected.

Establishing the contact

When establishing the contact with the offeror (e.g. by e-mail or by using a contact form), the details provided by the user will be stored for the purpose of dealing with the inquiry or just in case further questions arise.

Including services and third-party contents

It may well happen that, as part of this online offer, third-party contents, such as videos from YouTube, cartographical material from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other Websites, are embedded in our own presentation. This will always require that the offeror of those contents (referred to hereinafter as "third-party offeror") are aware of the actual user’s IP address. Because without this IP address, they would be unable to transmit their contents to the browser of the relevant user. The IP address is therefore necessary for presenting these contents. We make every effort to use only such contents, of which the offerers concerned use the IP address merely for transmitting their contents. However, we have no influence whatsoever on those third-party offerers, should they store the IP address for statistical or other purposes. Should this come to our knowledge, we shall inform our users accordingly.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that make it possible to store specific, device-related information on the user’s access device (such as PC, smartphone or something like that). On the one hand, they improve the user-friendliness of Websites and are thus of benefit for the user (e.g. storage of login data). On the other hand, they collect statistical data about the use of the Website(s) so that these data can be analyzed to improve the offer. Users can influence the use of cookies. Most browsers are equipped with an option that restricts the storage of cookies or prevents it completely. It must be noted, however, that the use of the Website and especially the comfort of use will be restricted without cookies.

You can manage many online-ad cookies from companies via the US-American Website http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU Website http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/.

Using Facebook Social Plugins

This offer uses social plugins ("plugins") of the social network facebook.com which is operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook"). The plugins can be identified by one of the Facebook logos (white „f“ on a blue tile, the terms "Like" [in German: „Gefällt mir"] or the thumb-up sign) or they are marked with the identifier "Facebook Social Plugin". The list and the appearance of the Facebook Social Plugins can be inspected here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.

If a user calls a Website of this offer that contains such a plugin, the browser will establish a direct link to the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin will be transmitted directly from Facebook to your browser which integrates it into the Website. Hence, the offeror, having no influence on the data volume which Facebook collects with the help of this plugin, therefore informs the user in accordance with its own state of knowledge:

By integrating its plugins Facebook will obtain the information that a user has called the relevant page with the offer. If the user is logged-in at Facebook, the latter can allocate this visit to the user’s Facebook account. If users interact with the plugins, such as by pressing the Like button or by leaving a comment, the relevant information will be directly transmitted from your browser to Facebook and stored there. If a user is not a member of Facebook, there will still be a chance that Facebook finds out this user’s IP address and stores it. According to Facebook’s statements, only anonymized IP addresses will be stored in Germany.

Please refer to Facebook’s Website under Fehler! Hyperlink-Referenz ungültig. for further information about the purpose and scope of the data collected, their further processing and usage by Facebook as well as the relevant rights and settings to protect the user’s private sphere.

If a user is a member of Facebook and does not wish that Facebook collects data about him/her via this offer and links these data with the membership data stored at Facebook, s/he must log out of Facebook before visiting the Internet presentation. Further settings are possible within the Facebook profile settings under https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads, where also objections to using data for advertising purposes can be registered.

+1 button of Google+

This offer uses the “+1″ button of the social network Google Plus which is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”). The button can be recognized by the “+1″ sign on a white or colored background.

If a user calls a Website with this offer that contains such a button, the browser will establish a direct link with the servers of Google. The content of the “+1″ button will be transmitted directly from Google to the user’s browser, where it will be integrated into the Website. The offeror has therefore no influence on the data volume collected by Google with this button. According to a statement from Google, no personal data will be collected without having clicked on the button. Any such data, among them the IP address, will only be collected and processed from logged-in members.

Please refer to Google‘s data protection notes about the “+1″-button under http://www.google.com/intl/de/+/policy/+1button.html and to the FAQ under http://www.google.com/intl/de/+1/button/ for more information about the purpose and scope of the data collected, their further processing and usage by Google as well as the relevant rights and setting options users have to protect their private share.
